Mini Portfolio

My name is Russell Alindogan (as you've probably already read at the top of this blog) and I am in the Animation/Illustration program at SJSU. It is my senior year in the program, and my senior year in college for that matter, and I am very nervous but extremely excited to finish my college career with a bang. Currently I am hoping to go into 3D surfacing and modeling in the future, or possibly go the route of visual development. While I can't name a specific studio I would like to work for, my aims are to fall anywhere within the video games industry. With video games being a huge hobby of mine, I can't wait to be able to lend my hand to a project in the future that millions of people over the world will be able to play and experience.

Although 2D animation is not the field I am going for, I had the opportunity to take more than a few 2d animation courses in the Animation/Illustration program. This is the final animation I did for David Chai's 115 animation class:

This next video is of a personal project I worked on over the 2013 winter break. Our goal was to make a "self-portrait" in any way we wanted to. I chose "Street Fighter 4" as my theme and took the character Dhalsim and painted it as if I were in the game. This is a quick sped up video of my process from mostly start to finish.

Next is one of the many digital paintings I did over this past summer as practice. I was inspired by the "vitrual plein air" group on facebook, people who take a still image from google earth and then take a few hours or so to paint it, as if doing a plein air but on a digital medium.

Lastly, here is a Flare Gun project from my first 3D modling class last year.
